On Saturday, August 15, the brothers of the Pi Delta chapter helped the incoming freshmen move into Blazer Hall. The day was filled with nervous students, sad parents and and TKEs ready to lend a hand. Moving into a new place can be very difficult, but driving up to your new home with upperclassmen ready to help is a major relief. Over 900 students moved in Saturday and the Pi Delta brothers were one of the few student groups that helped out.

The beginning of August was not only the start of a new month, but also the start of living in a new house for the UAB TKEs. The new house is located on 15 Ct South in the Southside of Birmingham. This local is much closer to campus than the last house, and as such will provide brothers with a place that is easier to access, and it will play a major role in this upcoming recruitment.
UAB Tekes have always been supporters of the Greek unity. Living right next to two of our fellow UAB fraternities is an opportunity that we are all very excited about.

The weekend of July 24, the Vice-President of Fraternal Services, John Deckard paid the Pi-Delta chapter a visit. John, along with Nat Sheppard headed up a brotherhood retreat. The retreat was filled with activities and exercises that brought the brothers of the Pi-Delta chapter closer together. With the fall semester only days away, the retreat was a great way to get the brothers together and in the right state of mind for the school year.

At the conclusion of the weekend, the chapter hosted many of the alumni of the Pi-Delta chapter at the TKE house. The alumni and the current brothers alike had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones.
