Tau Kappa Epsilon’s 30th Anniversary of the Pi Delta Chapter

30th Anniversary Invitation

30 Years of Building Better Men

Formal invitations have been sent via email and postal mail to Pi Delta Alumni and Friends of the Pi Delta Chapter.  Members of the active chapter are very excited to spend the upcoming weekend with Pi Delta Alumni and Founders.  A casual cook-out has been planned to kick off the weekend of events.  The cook-out will be held at the Pi Delta Chapter House on March 27 from 5:30pm until ?.   Impromptu entertainment is sure to follow when the charcoal runs out.  On Saturday, March 28, bright-and-early at 8:00AM, the Pi Delta Golf Tournament begins at Roebuck Municipal Golf Course.  Active members and alumni will be on teams together and will compete for prizes and title.  Saturday afternoon is free for alumni and friends to mingle at the house, take a walk to campus, or perhaps take a nap.  The final scheduled event of the weekend is the Anniversary Banquet to be held in the Birmingham Ballroom of the Sheraton Birmingham.  The doors for this semi-formal event will open at 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 7:00pm.  Michael Hobbs, Pi Delta 189, has agreed to serve as host for the banquet, and Todd Farmer, Senior Regional Director for the Northeast of Tau Kappa Epsilon International, will be our guest of honor.  Also, the active chapter will be presenting its annual awards throughout the banquet.

Any questions regarding RSVP, payment, hotel arrangments, or other concerns may be addressed to Jason Hall, Histor, by email at pidelta445@gmail.com or by phone at (205) 276-7079.  On behalf of the active chapter, we are looking forward to an excellent anniversary celebration with Pi Delta Alumni and Friends.

TKE’s at Talladega

This past week, the brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon made the annual trip to the Talladega Superspeedway to participate in a chapter fundraiser. Working Talladega means early mornings and hard work, but the TKEs still have fun! Between driving golf carts, meeting drivers, and hanging out, the TKEs even make working hard fun. Of course, this is all done while raising money for the chapter, which means TKE is fortunate enough to have the lowest dues on campus!
