T-Shirt Printing with Frater Tommy Miles

t-shirt

Frater Tommy Miles, alumnus of the Xi-Chi Chapter at Southern Polytechnic State University, volunteered his time and screen-printing expertise for an excellent Pi Delta brotherhood event at the Chapter House on Saturday, March 21, 2009.  This was quite a treat for the active Pi Delta chapter.  Frater Miles is legendary for his collection of TKE screen-printing equipment.  Active fraters printed TKE logo gear on backpacks, gym shorts, t-shirts, and flags.  The Pi Delta Chapter is truly grateful for Frater Miles volunteering his time and equipment to allow our chapter some quality TKE brotherhood time.

It was run by fraters Tripp Warren, Matthew Barclift, and Adam Ferris. Also, a rush presentation was given by Domonick Stella and Andrew Stone It was a great time and we all took a lot from it. It was great hanging out with the guys from the Spring Hill, South Alabama, Troy, and University of West Florida chapters. Miami Tekes Visit UAB

I must say that I had one of the most exciting and badass weekends of my life. We at the Pi Delta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon HOSTED 25 Tekes from Florida International University in Miami (Sigma Alpha Chapter). You read that right, they drove 13 hours to see Fraternity brothers that they had never met before in Birmingham. It never ceases to amaze me that two groups of VERY DIFFERENT men can meet up and find out how similar they really are, we truly found brotherhood among one another.  It was as if we had known them their whole lives and that they had known us. Something just clicked. Long story short, we hung out and partied all weekend. It was tons of fun. Even as a senior Teke, this amazing Fraternity for LIFE still amazes me.

-Stone

Here are a few pictures, the rest of which can be found here (new photo album added called “TKE Nation” for photos of chapters that visit us or that we visit.)
