Pi Delta welcomes 15 new men into the bond of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Included in the Fall Semester 2012 class are Wesley Calhoun, John Chancellor, Ryan Miller, Dalton Spradlin, Michael Delano, Roy Kucuk, Jacob Barber, Taylor Liles, Garrett Nix, Taylor Dunn, Brooks Hinnant, Vivek Gosai, Connor O’Gorman, Chris Hedgepeth, and Chris Bovell. Pi Delta Chapter hosted its Fall 2012 Friends and Family Day on Saturday, October 20, 2012. It was a splended Fall day of food and fellowship at the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center. with not only the members and Fall pledges, but several parents and alumni as well. This event gives the chapter a great opportunity to highlight its past accomplishments and plans for the upcoming year with our invited guests. The event was also special because the recently announced Top Teke Chapter award was presented to the Prytanis, Josh Zaslawsky from Steve Hancock, Chapter Advisor. Fall Rush 2012 resulted in the addition of 23 new Candidate Members which were inducted into Pi Delta chapter on September 09, 2012. This new pledge class consists of the following young men: Taylor Liles, Tyler Jordan, Michael Delano, Ryan Miller, Dalton Spradlin, Joseph Lang, Chris Henderson, Darquelle Gooch, Jacob Barber, Taylor Dunn, Garrett Nix, Alex Mills, Chris Bovell, John Wesley Chancellor, Brooks Hinnant, Vivek Gosai, Chris Hedgepeth, Brandon Parker, Wayne Williams, Roy Kucuk, Connor O’Gorman, Sam Vargas and Wesley Calhoun. Pi Delta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity was notified on Tuesday, August 21, that it had won its first International Top TKE Chapter Award. This award is given annually to chapters that complete a rigorous application process consisting of documented evidence of Excellence in Leadership, Chapter Recruitment, Chapter Size, Alumni Relations, Extracurricular Activities and Academics. Pi Delta was one of 15 chapters out of 270+ in TKE Nation to win. After 33 years of “almost making it”, Pi Delta can now be proud that they have achieved such a milestone. To be on top is exciting – to stay on top is hard work. Let’s do it again!! Congratulations for such a team effort!!
